MJ Delaney (US & Canada)

MJ Delaney is an Emmy and BAFTA award winning director renowned for her dynamic storytelling across television and advertising. A Double First graduate from Oxford, she was named one of Broadcast Magazine’s “Hotshots” and quickly gained recognition as “Best New Director” at the BTAA Craft Awards.

Her impressive directorial portfolio includes critically acclaimed series such as Apple TV’s Ted Lasso, where she directed episodes across all three seasons, earning an Emmy for Outstanding Directing for a Comedy Series. MJ has also directed Apple TV sports-comedy Stick, starring Owen Wilson, as well as Frank of Ireland and the final episodes of Ten Percent, the UK remake of Call My Agent. Her television work extends to projects like Disney+’s Renegade Nell and the BAFTA-winning short Summer, showcasing her versatility and commitment to quality.

In advertising, MJ has collaborated with top global brands such as Nandos, KFC, and M&S, culminating in a groundbreaking achievement as one of the first female directors to helm both a Christmas campaign and a Super Bowl commercial in the same year with her spot for Novartis at Super Bowl 2025.

Known for her impactful campaigns, MJ directed the 2016 redux of the Spice Girls’ “What I Really, Really Want” video for Project Everyone, promoting gender equality, which amassed over 100 million views within a week. She followed this with the viral film Freedom, featuring Beyoncé’s empowering track, further cementing her place as a champion for girls’ rights.

Her commitment to social causes led her to create a short film for the Obama Foundation’s Global Girls Alliance, premiered on International Day of the Girl, showcasing her dedication to uplifting women’s voices.
