Renowned filmmaker Ruben Fleischer, began his career as an award-winning commercial and music video director, honing his skills and paving the way for his success in multiple parts of the entertainment industry.
Fleischer’s latest venture, the highly anticipated Sony film “UNCHARTED,” featuring an all-star cast including Tom Holland, Mark Wahlberg, and Antonio Banderas, was released in 2022 and achieved phenomenal success at the box office, grossing an impressive $407 million worldwide.
In 2019, Fleischer delighted audiences with the sequel to his breakout film “ZOMBIELAND,” titled “ZOMBIELAND: DOUBLE TAP.” Once again, the star-studded cast, including Woody Harrelson, Jesse Eisenberg and Emma Stone among others, captivated viewers and marked a significant milestone in Fleischer’s career.
Fleischer’s directorial repertoire also includes the 2018 comic book adaptation “VENOM,” the 2013 period gangster film “GANGSTER SQUAD,”, and the dark comedy “30 MINUTES OR LESS,” showcasing his versatility.
Beyond his success in film, Fleischer has made significant contributions to television. He received an Emmy nomination for his work in developing and executive producing “JURY DUTY” for Amazon. He directed the pilots of “THE GOOD LAWYER” for ABC, , and “ST. DENIS MEDICAL” for NBC. Fleischer’s involvement in the hit NBC comedy series “SUPERSTORE” was also noteworthy, as he directed the pilot, finale, and produced all 113 episodes. Additionally, he produced “THE BOLD TYPE” for Freeform and “STUMPTOWN” for ABC. More recently, Fleischer produced the limited series “THE WHITE HOUSE PLUMBERS” for HBO. He also directed the pilots of “SANTA CLARITA DIET” for Netflix and “AMERICAN HOUSEWIFE” for ABC.
Before his television success, Fleischer co-created and executive produced the popular MTV reality shows “ROB & BIG” and “ROB DYRDEK’S FANTASY FACTORY,” showcasing his talent for creating engaging and entertaining content.
His commercial work includes successful campaigns for Hyundai, Samsung, Capital One and Chrysler.
Fleischer currently lives in Montclair, New Jersey, where he continues to create compelling and captivating projects.
