Najeeb Tarazi

Najeeb Tarazi is an award-winning director based in Los Angeles. A Harvard graduate with a BA in physics, Najeeb is known for his ability to blend innovative techniques and humanist storytelling. He began his film journey at Pixar Animation Studios, where he worked as a technical director on beloved films like Toy Story 3 and Monsters University.

Najeeb’s directorial work has garnered widespread acclaim, including five Vimeo Staff Picks and Vimeo’s “Best of the Year” badge in 2023 for his skate film “One More Try,” which was praised by Tony Hawk as “mesmerizing,” “masterful,” and “brilliant chaos.” The film also received an ADC Merit in Film Craft. His music video “Home for My Heart” went viral for its intimate portraits and unique portal edits, while his earlier work, “Walk the Walk,” inspired by David Hockney’s photo collages, screened at the 2019 SXSW Film Festival.

Notably, Najeeb’s first music video, “Another Love,” was among the first to utilize volumetric video technology, which he coded himself using Microsoft Kinects. His diverse portfolio includes collaborations with high-profile clients such as Uber, Microsoft, Snap, AC/DC, and Tony Hawk, showcasing his ability to craft unforgettable experiences across commercials, music videos, and films. With two patents in the field of computer graphics, Najeeb continues to push the boundaries of storytelling and visual effects, solidifying his status as a sought-after artist in the industry.
