Luke Franklin

Dublin-raised filmmaker and artist, Luke Franklin, is a consummate visual storyteller, blending a documentary flair for authentic human performance, a gorgeous photographic sensibility, easy charm and a wicked sense of humour.

Luke has established himself as a master of understated, authentic humanity with a flair for documentary storytelling combined with sleek cinematic visuals. His work is human and honest and always looks to hero the subject in front of the camera rather than the one behind it. He has directed award-winning work for Pampers, Tesco’s, McDonalds, McCain’s and Smithwicks.

Beyond the boundaries of advertising, Luke has also established himself as a visual artist to be reckoned with. His exhibition artwork, “4 Bothies”, won Saint Martin’s prestigious Nova Award as well as winning the UAL’s Future Map prize for sculpture and installation. He has been listed in the Irish Times as one of the ‘60 Most Creative People in Ireland’.
