Lee Hirsch’s New Documentary Set To Screen at DOC NYC

Director Lee Hirsch’s documentary “The First Class” is screening in March at DOC NYC, a festival at the center of celebrating and supporting documentary storytelling.

Produced by Hirsch, Robert Fernandez, and Moxie Pictures, the documentary immerses viewers into the lives of the very first students and teachers at Crosstown High in Memphis, Tennessee, a school that’s attempting to break the mold in a city craving change. This closely observed verité film is full of humor and emotion and shines a light on a national movement aimed at redefining the future of learning in the U.S.

Catch the DOC NYC screening of “The First Class” on March 12th at 7 pm at the IFC Theater. Find tickets here.
