The Mayor, executive produced by Jeremy Bronson, Daveed Digs, Jamie Tarses, Scott Stuber, Dylan Clark, and Moxie’s James Griffiths, premieres tomorrow. The pilot episode, written by Bronson and directed by Griffiths, will air at 9:30 PM on ABC.

The comedy stars Brandon Michael Hall as rapper Courtney Rose, who runs for local office just to gain publicity, and ends up winning the election. The cast also includes Lea Michele (Glee), as well as Bernard David Jones, Marcel Spears, and Yvette Nicole Brown.

The show has received positive reviews thus far. Variety writes: “the pace is so reassuringly snappy — the supporting characters, so clearly in sync — that newcomer ‘The Mayor,’ like its fictional mayor, walks into its place on the schedule with self-assured swagger.”
