Tamir has directed a wide range of award-winning documentaries, commercials, music videos, and films. His work has taken him around the world in the pursuit of amazing storytelling.
While the subjects vary, they all have one thing in common: a combination of strong visuals and a commitment to realism. From glossy to gritty, his films are known for their remarkable honesty and unique sense of style.
Tamir’s education background includes The Ontario Art School to Montreal’s Concordia University Film School. Upon graduation, he began his prolific career working as a cameraman for top directors John Woo and David Cronenberg.
Following his passion for music, Tamir also created an independent electronic record label where he filmed music videos and documentaries. In advertising, Tamir quickly became a pioneer in branded content by directing visually powerful work for Urban Outlaw, about the life of eclectic Porsche collector Magnus Walker, and a feature documentary for Sony Entertainment about Kazunori Yamauchi, the visionary creator of Playstation’s massive game success, Gran Turismo.
Tamir’s work has been recognized by a number of accolades, including Cannes Lions, LIA, One Show, D&AD Impact Black Pencil, Kinsale Shark Awards, Clio, Game Marketing Awards, Marketing Awards, and countless film festival merits and awards.
