Henry Lu’s web film for Google Translate tells the inspiring story of Alberto Balde, a young boy who moved from Spain to Northern Ireland after his mother took a job there. Alberto had always been passionate about Football, but unable to speak English, struggled to embrace his passion in his new home. That is until the coaches at his new Soccer club began to use Google Translate to communicate with him. The App also helped Alberto speak with his teammates. Lu’s beautiful film tells this poignant story and illustrates Google’s ability to break down communication barriers and bring people together.
