A Footlights alumnus, Will graduated from Cambridge in 2008 and immediately joined the Royal Shakespeare Company.

In 2011, he directed and co-wrote, with Tom Kingsley, his first feature-film the BAFTA nominated “Black Pond” starring Simon Amstell and Chris Langham. The film went on to be nominated for the Raindance Award at the British Independent Film Awards, and was also nominated in the Evening Standard Film Awards for both Best Debut and Best Comedy.

In 2016, Will’s eagerly-anticipated second feature – “The Darkest Universe” – was released. It was nominated for the Discovery Award at the British Independent Film Awards.

This was followed by two series of the critically acclaimed Channel 4 ‘comedy with a mental illness’ “Flowers”, written and directed by Will, and starring Olivia Colman & Julian Barratt.

In 2020 Will wrote and directed the critically-acclaimed “The Electrical Life Louis Wain” for Amazon Prime. The film starred Benedict Cumberbatch, Andrea Riseborough and Claire Foy. In 2021 he returned with the true-crime limited-series “Landscapers” for HBO starring Olivia Colman and David Thewlis.

Will’s latest project is “Crying In H Mart” – an adaptation of Japanese Breakfast’s front-woman Michelle Zauner’s debut novel.
